Vision

Vision

Our school Christian vision “learning with love and laughter” is underpinned by the belief that every day is a gift from God to be lived in joy.  “This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24

Our biblical values of love, respect and forgiveness mirror our understanding of the relationship between God and people and are integral to everything we do, creating a learning environment where every person is loved and loving, respected and respectful and can give and receive forgiveness.

Our Christian Values and associated bible stories are:

  • Love – The Good Samaritan
  • Forgiveness – The Prodigal Son
  • Respect – Noah’s Ark

Spirituality Statement

Our school vision and core Christian values of love, respect and forgiveness aims to foster the intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development of our whole school community.  As a community, we believe that spirituality is an ongoing, reflective journey that is unique to every person. It is the nurturing of the inner life of each individual, enabling and embracing their questions, doubts and wonder of existence. Although we are grounded in the Christian faith and values, we recognise that spirituality is not unique to any one belief.

Our Golden Rules are:

  • We are gentle
  • We are kind and helpful
  • We listen
  • We are honest
  • We work hard
  • We look after property

Promoting Fundamental British Values

In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.
